Astrix lets you play Fortnite 8.51 on community-run servers. The Season 8 map, the volcano, the pirate camps and the loot pool, the way they were. Free to play.
What is Astrix?
Astrix is a free, fan-made project that brings back Fortnite Chapter 1, Season 8 (version 8.51). You play on your own copy of the 8.51 build, and the Astrix launcher connects it to our servers.
Every cosmetic is unlocked on every account, so you can wear whatever you like. There are custom emotes you won't find anywhere else, and the launcher has the building settings competitive players ask for: edit on release, instant reset and disable pre-edit.
Matches are kept fair by Astrix Anticheat, which runs alongside the game. Lobbies are filled out with bots, so there's always a full match to drop into.
Modes
Two modes are live right now.
One Shot Lategame
Drop straight into a late-game circle, somewhere new each match. Hunting rifles, shockwave grenades, 50 health, really low gravity and limited materials.
How to start playing
- Make an account. Join the Astrix Discord and type
/create. - Get the launcher. Download it, install it and sign in with your Astrix email and password.
- Choose your build. Point the launcher at your Fortnite 8.51 folder. Astrix doesn't give out Fortnite; you use your own copy.
- Press Play. The launcher starts the game, adds what it needs and connects you to the servers.
Astrix+
Astrix is free to play. Astrix+ helps keep the servers running, and gives you a few extras for it.

Enter your Astrix username at checkout. Astrix+ is added to your account within 24 hours. If it hasn't arrived by then, make a ticket in our Discord. Payments are handled by Stripe.

- Play during beta testing events, when only Astrix+ members can join the servers.
